These terms govern your use of this website and your family’s participation in FBU Central Valley tryouts, teams, and events. By using the site, registering an athlete, or making a payment, you agree to them. 1. Who we are
FBU Central Valley operates youth football programs in the Central Valley as a local affiliate of Football University (“FBU”). The FBU name, crest, and related marks belong to their respective owners and are used under our affiliate relationship.
2. Registration must be completed by an adult
Registration, waiver signing, payment, and parent portal accounts are for parents and legal guardians aged 18 or older. You agree that the information you provide — including your athlete’s name, date of birth, and grade — is accurate. Eligibility is age-verified against our published cutoffs (born on or after the August 1 cutoff for each division). A spot obtained with false information may be forfeited without refund.
3. Payments
Prices are shown before you pay, including the processing & service fee for your chosen payment method. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store card numbers. All payments are final under our No Refund Policy, which you acknowledge at every checkout. If a payment is disputed with your bank, the athlete’s roster spot is placed on hold until the dispute resolves — please email us first, we’re easy to reach.
4. The participation waiver
Every tryout registration requires a parent or guardian to read and electronically sign our Participation Waiver & Release, which covers assumption of risk, release of liability, medical authorization, and media consent. The signed waiver is part of your agreement with us and is available afterward in your parent portal under Documents.
5. Selection and participation
Tryouts are evaluated by our coaching staff, and roster decisions are at the staff’s sole discretion. Registering for a tryout guarantees an evaluation, not a roster spot. Athletes and families are expected to show good sportsmanship and follow staff and venue instructions; we may remove anyone from an event for unsafe or abusive conduct, without refund.
6. Parent portal
Portal sign-in links and codes are tied to your email account — keep that account secure and don’t forward sign-in emails. You’re responsible for activity under your session. We may suspend portal access that we reasonably believe is compromised or being misused.
7. Schedules and events
Dates, times, and venues (including the tryout at Blackbeard's · Fresno, CA) may change for weather, safety, or venue availability. We’ll notify registered families by email, and our No Refund Policy covers what happens if we cancel.
8. Website content
Site content is provided for information about our programs. We work to keep it accurate but provide the site “as is,” without warranties. You may not scrape the site, probe its security, or misuse the portal or its data.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, and except as set out in the signed Participation Waiver, FBU Central Valley’s total liability arising out of the website or program registration is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under California law, including for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify FBU Central Valley, its coaches, staff, and volunteers against claims arising from your breach of these terms or misuse of the site.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by California law. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Fresno County, California.
12. Changes
We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be emailed to registered families. Continuing to use the site or participate after a change means you accept it.
